Beginner Beekeeping Bootcamp

Ready to bee-gin your beekeeping journey?

Whether you're dreaming of backyard hives or simply fascinated by the secret lives of bees, our Beginner Bootcamp is the perfect place to start. Join us online or in person for an engaging, practical, and empowering class series that covers everything from hive setup and bee biology to seasonal care and even how to turn honey into a side hustle.

With evening online sessions or immersive in-person workshops (lunch included!), you'll walk away informed, inspired, and buzzing with excitement.

No experience needed—just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a love for the bees.

Beekeeping Basic Training I 

Summer is when your bees are working their hardest—and it’s your job to help them thrive. This course focuses on mid-season hive management, population control, swarm prevention, and making sure your colonies stay strong and productive as the nectar flow peaks.

​

You’ll learn how to monitor brood patterns, manage space inside the hive, split hives if needed, and stay ahead of summer pests and stressors. We’ll also cover key seasonal tasks like supplemental feeding (when necessary), ventilation, and how to keep your bees cool when temps soar.

​

This class is ideal for keepers looking to grow healthy, sustainable colonies that make it through the season in peak condition.

Beekeeping Basic Training II 

From Fall Harvest thru Winter

As the seasons shift, so do your bees' needs. This training will guide you through honey harvesting, fall prep, and winter care—so your hives stay healthy through the cold months.

 

Learn how to harvest and label your honey, prep your hive for colder weather, and support your bees with smart feeding, winter tasks, and emergency care techniques like sugar boards or fondant.
 

Designed to help you feel confident in every season—especially the quiet ones.

Beekeeping Intensive

Mite Management & Bee Behaviors

Build on your Bootcamp knowledge with this essential next step in your beekeeping journey. Learn how to spot threats, read bee behavior, and confidently manage mites—one of the top challenges for new keepers.

You’ll gain practical skills to assess colony health, recognize early signs of disease, and create a treatment plan that fits your approach.
 

Bonus: Includes our “How to Perform an Autopsy on a Dead Out” guide—turn loss into learning and grow stronger hives.
