About the event
Join Me for the first of our Beginner Beekeeping Series.
In this class we will clean up bee boxes, learn the basics of beginner beekeeping.
This is the “wax on wax off” lesson of beekeeping. This is where the season starts. You get to learn the basics of hive box clean up, maintenance, set up and more.
You will learn hands on, time to ask questions, share knowledge. No experience necessary. Everyone will have a box and frames to go thru, clean, take apart a learn from. I have short boxes and deep boxes, honey frames and dead out boxes, etc. You will see different frames, drone cells versus queen cells, bee bread, drawn comb versus new foundation, and more. You will learn about and use different tools etc. Basic maintenance and repair.
