About the event

Luminary Making Class - 60-90 minutes, in person, hands on - cost includes materials.

Make a beeswax luminary and decorate it with dried flowers and leaves. Discussion of why beeswax is an important bi-products of bees. Beeswax candles and luminaries have been used in spiritual and religious rituals for centuries. They are a symbol of light, purity, and healing in many cultures. Whether you use them in meditation, yoga, or religious ceremonies, beeswax candles are a powerful tool for connecting with the spiritual realm. Beeswax luminaries are fun to make and a lovely decoration or gift item.*

What is a luminary? A beeswax luminary is made from pure beeswax and is a decorative candle holder that you can place a small tealight in to illuminate your creation. It is not a candle itself but instead a lovely handmade decorative beeswax light. You can put an actual tealight in the luminary, but depending on your design it may melt it though so I recommend the reusable tea lights. You can pick these up at the dollar store, usually 2/$1.00. They look great and are much safer if kids will be keeping them.

All ages - up to 20 attendees - Children 12 and under must be accompnied by an adult, under 18 children must have a signed waiver by an adult

* class includes one luminary per attendee, additional luminaries can be made for $15 each
