Nurses Aide Lotion Bar

Every product I make has a story. The Nurses Aide was one of the first items I started making when I began to make skincare products. I have a friend who is a nurse who always struggled with dried cracked peeling skin on her hands. With all the hand washing nurses have to do this is a common phenomenon amongst them. (Now more than ever im sure). My friend had found and purchased a lotion bar that worked well for her but then couldn’t find it anymore and asked if I would make her one. This bar was the result. 

So why a sold lotion bar? 🤔🤔🤔

Did you know that liquid lotion is 60-80% water? 😮

Any formula with water in it needs an anti-microbial and most of those are paraben based. 😳😳😳🤯🤬

This lotion bar includes all natural ingredients;

🐝 Pure Beeswax to seal and protect

 🥥Coconut Oil - reduces inflammation, moisturizes, antimicrobial

🌴Cocoa Butter - long lasting relief for dry irritated hands

🌰Shea Butter - softens and nourishes

🍊Mango Butter - rich in Vitamin A, stimulates skins renewal 

🍑Apricot Oil because it’s a lovely all purpose oil, fast absorbing and hydrating infused with some of my favorite herbs for topical skin treatments - 

🌼Chamomile - disinfects and speeds up healing, 

🌸Lavender - calming, healing, disinfectant 

🌹Rose - anti inflammatory 

🌱Comfrey - soothes dry irritation, heals wounds

🌻Calendula - relieves most skin conditions

🌺Rosemary - anti inflammatory, anti bacterial

🌿Lemonbalm - anti bacterial, anti inflammatory, reduces swelling and redness 

🌷Holy Basil - decreases skin irritations 

Most of these are harvested from my garden.

☀️Vitamin E Oil - prevents rough dry scaly skin 

🥕Carrotseed Oil - nourishes, protects

💐Lightly scented with a blend of beneficial essential oils with anti-bacterial and anti microbial properties

This bar is is long lasting. Over a month or more with daily use. To use it you just rub it on your hands like you were using a bar of soap and the warmth of your hands will gently melt and moisturize and nourish your skin. It’s also perfect for air travel because it is not a liquid and therefore is allowed. Great way to thank or pamper you favorite healthcare worker.
