The Story Behind Nurse's Aid
A Little Love for Hardworking Hands
Every product I create has a story, and Nurse's Aid is one of the very first skincare products I ever made.
It all began with a friend of mine who was a nurse. Like so many healthcare professionals, she struggled with extremely dry, cracked, and peeling skin on her hands. Constant handwashing, soaps, and sanitizers had taken their toll.
She had discovered a solid lotion bar that worked wonderfully for her, but eventually she couldn't find it anymore. Knowing my love for herbs and natural skincare, she asked if I could make something similar for her.
And so, Nurse's Aid was born.
I began blending nourishing botanical butters, pure beeswax, and skin-conditioning oils with some of my favorite herbs traditionally used in skincare. Chamomile, lavender, rose, comfrey, calendula, rosemary, lemon balm, and holy basil became part of a beautiful herbal infusion, many of them lovingly grown and harvested from my own garden.
My goal was simple: to create a lotion bar that would deeply moisturize, soften, and protect hardworking hands while being convenient enough to carry and use throughout the day.
What began as a simple request from a friend became one of the first products in my botanical skincare collection.
And while it was originally created with nurses in mind, I soon realized that nurses aren't the only ones with hardworking hands. Caregivers, teachers, gardeners, farmers, and anyone who frequently washes their hands can appreciate a little extra moisture and protection.
Nurse's Aid is more than a lotion bar. It's a reminder that some of the best things we create begin with caring for someone else.
