What you will need:
1 Three Bees Fire Cider Dry Kit
2 glass jars, 1 qt. size or larger
(*) - you only need 1 to get started
3-4 cups raw unprocessed apple cider vinegar
1 - 16oz. jar of Three Bees raw local honey
Mesh cloth or strainer
Funnel (Canning jar funnel works best)
Directions:
STEP 1 Add entire Dry Fire Cider Mix Packet into quart size or larger canning jar(*) and cover with raw apple cider vinegar. Leave a minimum 1" headspace at the top of the jar. Secure with canning jar lid. Shake vigorously.
STEP 2 Shake jar to mix well after making, as well as every day for the 2 weeks. Store in a cool dry place for 2 weeks minimum. ( A longer infusion will make a more potent batch, if you let it infuse longer continue to agitate your jar on a regular basis.)
STEP 3 After 2 weeks (or more) strain your infusion with a mesh cloth or strainer and retain the liquid in a clean mason jar. Squeeze the ingredients thoroughly to get out all the goodness. Add 16 oz honey or less to your taste or desire.
The finished product can be stored either in the fridge or a cabinet. It is shelf stable and has no expiration date as both honey and cider vinegar are preservatives. It is however best used within 18-24 months for it's maximum benefits.
(*)Using a jar larger than a 1 qt. jar is ideal as the optimal amount for the recipe is 4 cups of raw unprocessed cider vinegar. This will ensure the jar does not overflow and make a mess during the time it is infusing as the dry kit ingredients will expand as they are rehydrated during the infusion process.
