Service Description

60 minute group presentation at your location. Presentation will include live bees in our observation hive for presentations scheduled between May and October. This presentation is suitable for all ages. Meet beekeeper Konni Vukelic and the honeybees raised on a local farm that help bring honey and veggies to your local farmers market. View bees safely in an observation hive and get the buzz on bees. You will have an opportunity to see what a beehive looks like, view the tools used for beekeeping and all of the products and byproducts that come out of a beehive. This presentation is interactive and participants are encouraged to explore the items involved in beekeeping. Learn to understand more about the food grown in your local area and how bees help. Understand the challenges bees are facing and how you can help. We will discuss the basic biology of bees, where they live, how honey is made, the importance of pollination, planting for bees and more.
